COLOR SILKSCREENS

BRIDGE Series

The Bridge Series was initiated by my immigration to the United States. Images were inspired by the form, the structure and the meaning ot the bridge and its particular placement. These photo silkscreen compositions originated from sketches and on location drawings were followed by further work in the studio. Original images were created using traditional drawings and personal cut-out stencils in addition to half-tones digital layers. The Series started with the bridges in the area of New York City as well as Hudson Valley.

BEACH Series

The Beach Series was initiated by my recent travel to the Cape Cod peninsula. Images were inspired by the form of the dunes in relation to the ocean and sand. These photo silkscreen compositions originated from sketches in plein-air at the ocean side. Original images were created using traditional drawings and personal cut-out stencils in addition to digital layers.  Photos of the surrounding beachscapes were taken and later on exposed onto the screens, and finally hand printed on a specialty paper.
